Justin,
If someone mentioned yesterday that the reason for our usual Round Table being closed was due to being shut down by the Health Department, that went right by me. But having heard this, I think perhaps it would be a nice gesture to send them (the restaurant) a letter in support (perhaps copied to the Health Department) protesting the action. Admittedly their bathroom was not kept very clean (don't know if that had anything to do with the closure), but obviously we've been eating their food for years and not (to my knowledge) experienced any health problems as a result. In any case, we don't believe it's the job of government to police restaurants.
This gives me an idea -- we could have a password-protected form online that would put whatever was typed in onto Libertarian Party of San Francisco letterhead. The goal would be to have something with our banner, officers, website, and contact info that could be either printed out or sent via email. This would also allow us to keep a record of who was sending out what correspondence on behalf of the party.
Returning to the subject of your post, my preference would be to find a meeting place in the Mission neighborhood. Here are a few of the potential advantages:
-Geographically central location in the city
-High density neighborhood (lots of renters = lots of foot traffic)
-Cheap food, many different types of restaurants to choose from
-Accessible to BART stations, crossed by numerous MUNI lines
-Give a break to those who have long had to traverse town to attend our current meetings (full disclosure - I'm one of them)
Yours in liberty,

Howdy,
We had a bit of an adventure yesterday because the Round Table Pizza
at 16th and Geary was shut down by the Health Department recently,
without notice to us. Some quick thinking by Morey led us to the next
nearest Round Table for that meeting, but now we need to choose a new
regular location.I'm inclined to keep any discussion to the lpsf-activists list to
reduce confusion on the main discussion list. I'm also assuming we'll
keep exactly the same day and time unless there's some other
compelling reason not to.Please let me know if you have preferences for neighborhood or type of
food, and especially specific suggestions for places with meeting
space and an appropriate amount of food for around $50 including tax
and tip. I'll be calling and visiting a few places today and tomorrow.Cheers,
Justin
