For a while I’ve been occasionally taking advantage of the SF Public Library allowing library card holders to make up to ten photocopies a day (living next door to a branch library has small benefits). It recently occurred to me that this practice offered an opportunity to raise awareness about the nature of the system. Accordingly I’ve made a new flier (attached) which I plan to post and distribute in public places.
Rather than making this an LPSF thing per se, or even putting my name on it, I decided to just list my phone number. I think the calls I get could lead to some interesting and hopefully fruitful conversations. But if people do call and ask me for info on how to have more say over how their money is spent, I may well invite them to join the party.
Everyone is encouraged to make your own “free” copies of this flier when you visit the library, and distribute them. You’re welcome to include your own contact info instead of mine if you wish (or you’re welcome to leave mine on).
Love SF Public Library not just for printing which we encourage use of
during the FiXProp19 campaign but for access to articles needing
subscriptions. How can I possibly subscribe to all the articles sent to me?
