If any of you had any doubts whatsoever about the definitive trend of the US government heading towards fascism the first two articles should make you pause and reconsider your beliefs.
The first article is the Bush administration overturning a 22 year old ruling started by Regan and clarified by Clinton allowing border agents to take documents and examine and question anyone about their documents they are carrying and interogating them about their beliefs and where they were and whom they saw. All without any probable cause for so doing.

The second article is about an army brigade being trained to due Homeland security duty using and building on the skills they learned in Iraq. Door kickers!!
Those duties will include: called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
Of course they don't mention the Military Commission Act and the powers given to the President to determine when used and those wonderful FEMA ready to go concentration camps.
