Dear Rob;
The changes can be done on the wording to correct the misimpression. The length is one page which does have to be tri-folded to fit in a standard envelope. Being able to do this tri-folding would demonstrate capabilities of manual dexterity and therefore we would winnow out those who would not be capable of this so we wouldn't have no knuckle dragging Neanderthals as members. This of course means there is nothing to be held against knuckle dragging Neanderthals as members as I am certain there are many of them who are worthy contributing members of the community but we just don't got a Big Tent big enough for those kind of people. You know what I mean especially those who denigrate this great country of ours under the guise of anti-neanderthalism.
On the request for volunteers it is never too soon to ask for help. If someone is joining the LPSF there must a reason for thier personal impetous so therefore and ergo ask if they want to help out. Don't wait until they get the e-mail or letter or phone call - that's a day late and a dollar short to my way of thinking. Ask and Ask often then ask again.
It's like when you run a political campaign - the best advice is always have something on hand and ready to do for a volunteer who walks in the front door. The application is that volunteer walking in the front door. Ask for their help and ask often.
I'll have the wording changes made to correct the mis-impression on the newsletters later this afternoon tonight for review.
