The letter below appeared in the Tuesday, March 9, 2004 edition
of The Washington Times.
Given that this is an election year -- with a core focus on marriage
that may never come our way again -- this looks like a good year for
divorced fathers, second wives of divorced fathers, and adult children
of divorce to ask of all candidates on their ballot: What is your
position on current divorce law? What is your position on current
family court practice? And, what is your family policy position on
post-divorce father-child relationships?
If ever there will be a year for political change on these issues, this
may well be it.
