The issues can be argued heatedly, and errors in fact and logic be pointed out in a respectful manner without impugning the other poster, his motives, or methods, or character. Is that too much to ask? If demanded, it should be easy for all to comply. This is the frame of mind that will improve our communication.
I sincerely hope we can keep all of our posters.
It is noteable that a quiet demeanor in presenting ideas is extremely effective. Note the way a Richard Pearle, or an Osama bin Ladin transmits ideas. Both speak very softly and with quiet conviction. The cause of Liberty will be served if we all learn to write with respect to our readers and intellectual adversaries, always holding on to a respect of the other , if for nothing else, the decency they demonstrae in caring about ideas.
