Reminder: Aubrey noted that anyactivist can organize an event. Theperson just needs to post it on the Activist List or bring it up at a meetingso the LPSF is on board with the event. Membership/Newsletter Report: Aubrey reported membership is down by onemember to 38 (22 lifetime members and 16 current paid up annual members). For the monthly email newsletter, he reportedhaving a lot of trouble with Yahoo in February locking him out of his account severaltimes because of “suspicious activity” (sending spam). He will send smaller batches of emails in thefuture.Treasurer’s Report: Aubrey reported that the beginning balance was $3,517.13. No checks were written in the pastmonth. There was one dues payment of$25.00 and a transfer of monthly donations from PayPal of $55.00. The new balance is $3,597.13. Aubrey noted that $350 is earmarked forPride, but another $43.53 has not been transferred from PayPal yet, so the adjustedamount we have to work with is $3,290.66. Political Filing Report: Aubrey noted that the rulesfor reporting are: from $0.01-$24.99-noinformation is needed from the donor; from $25.00-$99.99-need name and streetaddress of donor; and from $100.00 or more-need name, street address, occupation, and employer of donor. Figures arecumulative throughout the year, so each donor’s contributions must be trackedseparately. Aubrey contacted all therecurring monthly donors and was happy to report that all donors understood thereason for filing the reports and collecting the intrusive information, and nodonors decided to withdraw their support.Pride 2015: Aubrey reported that allfees have been paid and all paperwork has been submitted to SF Pride, soeverything is all set for the last week-end in June. Tax Day 2015: We discussed the finaldetails for the housing symposium at the Main Library on April 5. There will be 60 chairs and 3 tables—2 forthe panelists and Starchild, and one near the entrance for water andprograms/brochures. The question ofamplified sound came up—Aubrey said he will contact Michael Hinson from thelibrary to see if they have a mike available. The question of taping the event for the record also came up, and it wassuggested that we contact Steve Kemp from the anti-Plan Bay Area coalition tosee if he would agree to tape it professionally for us (we will cover any expenseshe incurs). Starchild mentioned that he’sstill working on trying to get noted housing activist Jennifer Friedenbach toappear as another one of our panelists.
Thanks!Aubrey
