MINUTES 5/14 LPSF Business Meeting and Ballot Measures [1 Attachment]

Dear All;

My employer has scheduled a special training session for our new salesforce.com
and telephone autodialing integrated program for Saturday. As a result I will
not be at the LPSF meeting unless things wrap up sooner rather than later.

See the attached minutes of the May 14 LPSF business meeting.

Of interest on initiatives this was placed on the ballot this week.

A street repair bond issue has been placed on the ballot by a 9-2 vote of the
Board Supervisors. The interest on top of the borrowed $248 million will total
$189 million, according to Budget Analyst Harvey Rose’s street bond report.
The property tax for a single-family home assessed at $500,000 will average
$37.33 a year for 24 years. The bond is timed to coincide with the expiration
of other city debt so those who pay property taxes won’t experience a tax
increase.

Secondly the circumcision ban has been approved for placement on the ballot.

Thirdly - there apparently will be some kind of pension reform on the ballot -
maybe one or two - they have NOT been finalized yet.
