Hello to all Libertarians:
On behalf of J.R. Manuel (the organiser,)I would like to issue an
invitation to The San Francisco Mayoral/Gubernatorial Forum being
held on Wednesday, 17 September 2003 from 5-9 p.m. This event will be
located at the California State Building, 455 Golden Gate Avenue in
the Auditorium. Expected to attend are: the mayoral candidates, The
San Francisco Democratic Party, The San Francisco Reform Party, The
San Francisco Libertarian Party, The San Francisco Republican Party,
The San Francisco Green Party. The Gubernatorial candidates expected
to attend: Governor Davis, Lt. Governor Bustamonte, Senator
McClintock, and Arianna Huffington. This is an opportunity to hear
what the candidates have to say, and for the Libertarians of San
Francisco (and the greater Bay Area) to be recognised.
Come one, come all!
Feel free to contact me with questions. I am: Leilani Wright, a

I was thinking about not attending the Political Chat
and going to the Mayoral Forum, instead. Since we
haven't had any random drop-ins at the Chats by people
who don't subscribe to the discuss list, I think this
will be an OK thing to do. Was anyone thinking about
going to the Chat instead of the Forum? Please e-mail
the discuss list and let me know. Thanks.
My only concern in a case like this is precisely random droppers-in, since
the events are advertised.
However, this week's advertised event is the Direct Action Forum, so it's
definitely not your problem. Come to the candidate event.

Hi Everyone,
I am resending this with the subject titled 'Political
Chat.'

Chris,
Perhaps for situations like this, we could make a sign to put on the door of Sheesh Mahal (or Round Table, or wherever, with permission of course) announcing that the event has been cancelled and to call 775-LPSF for details. Of course then we'll need to put an explanatory message on our voice mail. But it would save us from feeling like we have to have someone there in case somebody out of the loop happens to show up.
