Yes, thank you Marcy for taking the initiative on this and putting something together, since we did not do it in advance! (We really need to get more organized about prepping for elections!). However I have similar feelings to Aubrey with regard to Proposition A. Having some competition and some government ownership seems marginally better than no competition and no government ownership, and deposing such a longstanding government-privileged monopoly as Recology (formerly Sunset Scavenger) seems like an awfully good opportunity to pass up. But I admit I haven't even looked at the ballot yet, or done any election homework besides glancing at the campaign junk mail that the post office has delivered (mostly No on A pieces).
