LPSF press coverage: Starchild in SF Examiner on prohibition

Thanks, Elizabeth! Glad to learn that someone in the media noticed my testimony; I'll have to thank Examiner reporter Joshua Sabatini. His story does have a typo, but I see it was fixed in the Convenience Store News piece.

The "marginalized communities" reference did appear a little bit out of context in the article; I was mainly responding to the woman who spoke before me during public comment, who complained about tobacco advertising targeting kids in marginalized communities. I said government was targeting those communities, and mentioned Eric Garner being murdered by police for selling cigarettes on the black market.

If you were thinking of any coverage in the state or national newsletter or anything, the video footage should eventually be posted here – http://sanfrancisco.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?%20%20%20%20view_id=10 – but in the meantime I did happen to catch a replay on SFGOV TV yesterday evening and captured a couple screen shots (the second of which came during a follow-up public comment in which I advocated that the Board of Supervisors answer direct questions from members of the public on the record, the way the mayor has to publicly answer direct questions posed by members of the board during "Question Time"):

Love & Liberty,

P.S. – Do you know when the deadline is for the next issue of LP News? I've also written an article about a "blight" citation that Libertarian National Committee member Sean O'Toole received while I was staying at his place in Kansas City the weekend of the recent LNC meeting there, and just sent it to him a couple days ago to review before submitting for publication.

Hi Starchild. Thanks for your activism--looks like you've been a busy bee
lately. Thanks for getting the LPSF's name out in the press. That's one
ballot measure next June, for sure, that we'll be supporting, for a change!

Thanks!
Aubrey
