Prop. B was not a tax increase Jim, just a set-aside (guaranteed stream of funding to a particular department, Rec & Park), so therefore was not subject to the 2/3rds requirement and unfortunately passed with a simple majority.
Griff, if you find those articles, please feel free to post them. While I don't believe SF has one of the most corrupt city governments in the world (there are entire countries with really bad corruption problems) I'm sure the pieces would be interesting and informative refreshers. Have we met in person by the way? It would be good to see you at our monthly meetings – you appear to have a sound take on politics. More people writing material for the website, etc., is always helpful.
