To the chairmen of Bay Area LP Chapters:
I am in the process of securing radio time in the San Francisco Bay Area for
Judge Jim Gray's Senatorial Campaign. Because of the high cost for an
effective radio campaign, our chapter in Marin cannot go it alone. Local
radio broadcasting covers the greater Bay Area. Therefore, I thought that
other bay area chapters could join with us in paying for the air time.
Costs for a 2 week radio campaign, consisting of 7 spots in prime time and
14 in evening time, rage from $4000 to $8000 depending on the station.
Since time is getting short, I would appreciate hearing from the local
chapter chairs in Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara,
San Mateo and San Francisco Counties by October 17. I hope that we can work
together in supporting Judge Gray, who has a fighting chance of winning a
United States Senatorial seat.
For the Marin chapter members, I would appreciate receiving your response
to contributing financially to this effort by the 17th.
