LPC convention

Hello Starchild,

I discussed our meeting with Terry Floyd. He doesn't think there's any
negotiating we can do with the facility. Also, the LPC executive
committee already approved the rates so those can't be modified either.
To answer one of your questions, Terry Floyd is signing the contract
with the conference center.

Here's what we think can be done to achieve our mutual goals.

1) The convention organizers will pay room charges for convention
volunteer workers.

2) The facility is charging us $45 per person for the room and $30 for
snacks and drinks. We simply tell the facility how many people want
snacks and that's what we will get. We will present this option when
conventioneers sign up and use the honor system to manage it. So the
snacks are a voluntary option.

3) Convention organizers have started a collection to support
libertarian delegates unable to pay the $45 room use charge. This fund
will be announced in the initial introduction of the event.

4) We will also ask Libertarians in the area who have the space to make
their homes and transportation available to delegates on whatever basis
they negotiate but presumably for less than hotel rates. We will refer
these options to interested members.

The convention organizers have worked very hard to provide all CA
Libertarians with as many choices as possible to make the event
inclusive and accessible to the entire membership. We hope you find
these terms acceptable and that we will enjoy your complete support.

Best regards,
