LP national Executive Director Shane Cory resigns

Under the circumstances -- namely the disgraceful press release he issued in an apparent rebuke to LP presidential candidate Mary Ruwart, which tacitly endorsing a federal role in going after child pornography -- this is probably for the best. But it is too bad that the party did not give him clearer ideological guidance when he was hired, or things might not have reached this pass. Part of the blame for the press release, imho, lies with national Political Director Sean Haugh who suggested and defended it, the Libertarian National Committee for not providing stronger oversight, as well as, by extension, the party culture as a whole. On a personal level, both Shane and Sean have always struck me as good, decent guys.
