THE NEXT LPC STATE CONVENTION
FEB. 18-21, 2005 IN LOS ANGELES
Dear Region Officer,
Time is approaching for your region to select its Program Committee delegate.
According to Bylaw 12: COMMITTEES Section 3. of the LPC Bylaws -- http://www.ca.lp.org/bylaws/2004LPCBylaws.html#_Toc48905598<javascript:ol('http://www.ca.lp.org/bylaws/2004LPCBylaws.html#_Toc48905598');>
"There shall be a Platform Committee and Program Committee for each convention. Each committee shall consist of a coordinator and one delegate from each county central committee. The coordinator of each committee shall be appointed by the Executive Committee at least 30 days before the convention. The county delegates shall be selected at least 30 days prior to the convention in such a manner as each county shall provide."
The convention is scheduled for 18-21 February 2005. It is important to select your delegate as soon as possible so that the delegates have enough time to discuss the Program before the Convention. That way the Program Committee meeting will go more smoothly; and a better quality program can be adopted.
Delegates must be selected, and reported, along with contact information to the LPC Secretary, Dan Wiener, at wiener@zerocall.com<http://by18fd.bay18.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=7db95ed37814f0384a4dc8d6b53698e1&mailto=1&to=wiener@zerocall.com&msg=MSG1101416371.19&start=7579987&len=5781&src=&type=x> and to the LPC Program Committee Coordinator, Bruce Dovner, at bdovner@artnet.net<http://by18fd.bay18.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=7db95ed37814f0384a4dc8d6b53698e1&mailto=1&to=bdovner@artnet.net&msg=MSG1101416371.19&start=7579987&len=5781&src=&type=x> ***by 18 February 2005***. Delegates selected after that time will not be seated for the Committee meeting. Only delegates selected according to Bylaw 12, Section 3 are validly selected and can be seated.
***Remember: Your region's LPC Program Committee delegate must be selected and reported to the LPC Secretary, Dan Wiener, at wiener@zerocall.com<http://by18fd.bay18.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=7db95ed37814f0384a4dc8d6b53698e1&mailto=1&to=wiener@zerocall.com&msg=MSG1101416371.19&start=7579987&len=5781&src=&type=x> and to the LPC Program Committee coordinator, Bruce Dovner, at bdovner@artnet.net<http://by18fd.bay18.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=7db95ed37814f0384a4dc8d6b53698e1&mailto=1&to=bdovner@artnet.net&msg=MSG1101416371.19&start=7579987&len=5781&src=&type=x> ***by 14 February 2004***.
The earlier your delegate is selected, the better, since that will enable your delegate to become better acquainted with the Program and to discuss it with the other delegates well in advance of the Convention.
Thank you very much for your assistance. Additional info regarding the Program is contained below. If you need any further info, please feel free to contact me.
Yours in Liberty,
Bruce Dovner,
Coordinator, 2005 LPC Program Committee,
Member of the LPC Executive Committee
