Libertarian Party of S.F. is Filing Ballot Arguments for the June 2016 Election!

Dear Friends,

On Thursday, March 17, the Libertarian Party of San Francisco will be filing arguments offering voters our perspective on five of the six measures on the June 7, 2016 ballot. We hope that the San Francisco Department of Elections lottery picks all or some of our arguments to appear on the Voters’ Handbook for free.

If luck does not shine upon us, we will be coming to you, hat in hand, asking for donations to supplement the funds we have allocated for two, short paid arguments. With help, we can file more comprehensive paid arguments on more propositions.

We will let you know our fate on Thursday night March 17th, via this Announcements List, our Facebook Page, and our website.

Ballot measures often carry feel-good titles followed by lists of “benefits.” We at LPSF try to point out not only benefits, but also fiscal downside, bureaucratic expansion, neglected responsibilities of elected officials, negative unintended consequences, and invasion of individual liberty. Voters need to hear all sides before making decisions pro or con.

We will be posting ballot recommendations on our website closer to Election Day. Meanwhile we have some articles and announcements of coming Bay Area events which you might find of interest.

Talk to you on Thursday, Mach 17th!

Kind regards,

Marcy Berry
