Okay, so the story is a little dated and maybe not quite what you were thinking... but it is April Fools after all, hee hee! 
Really though, seeing how many reporters fall into the bad habit of covering political campaigns like horse races, it seems only fitting that an actual horse race would feature a dark horse named Libertarian! Even more apropos is that Libertarian was hot on the heels of Ruler of the World (and gaining) when the race was called, LOL!! Definitely one for the "You can't make this stuff up" file.
The next time I see an article mentioning an LP candidate that ignores the issues and just focuses on stuff like the candidate's chances of winning, I'm going to send them this link and suggest that if they want to treat a Libertarian running as if it were a horse race, they are focusing on the wrong side of the Atlantic. [Or perhaps if I see someone carping about how Libertarians haven't done anything for women, lol.... ]
Please feel free to copy these ideas. You never know, it could be good for some free press if somebody in the media is looking for a "fun" story.
