KCBS interview request and Chronicle phone call (Prop. E)

Two media calls on Proposition E (the soda tax) today! Sheryl Raines of KCBS wants someone to come by and be interviewed at their offices by Friday. She knew about the Commonwealth Club event and suggested maybe I could drop by after that event, since they are also located downtown, so I will let her know I'll do that unless someone else really wants to take it. An advantage is the issue will be fresh in my head, having just talked about it at the club. She also sent an email, below.

Separately, reporter Heather Knight of the Chronicle called and interviewed me briefly by phone. I asked how she came to contact me, thinking it was through the Elections Department or the LPSF or something, but she said she found my number on Independent Political Report of all places. Three cheers for the Internet. I believe she said her piece will likely appear in the Chronicle's "Inside Politics" blog or something like that. She asked about the beverage industry's involvement, what the focus of my opposition was, and what kind of taxes I thought would be next.

Hi Starchild,

I would be inclined to suggest you take these two interviews if you have the time.
