June 2026 Ballot Recommendations

Have you figured out how a libertarian should vote? If so, please share!

I am voting for Alan Wong in the D4 supervisor race. I volunteer for his
campaign as well. He is the most libertarian candidate I’ve seen in a long
time. He supports the family zoning plan and believes in getting rid of bad
laws. He supports the mayor who has been trying to cut the size of
government by slowing down on hiring (not an easy task in SF obviously!
Lurie taking an approach similar to what Gary Johnson did in New Mexico.)
Alan supports no on D obviously.

Here’s what I have so far, based on info I found on Ballotpedia. I’m sure there’s mistakes and omissions, so let me know if you have better suggestions.

Update: I filled in some spots with other candidates who had statements that weren’t completely offensive.

Governor - Libertarian. Ignore his Republican endorsement and signal a Libertarian vote.
Lt. Governor - David Fennell asks “why are tech companies leaving for Texas?”
Sec State - Shirley Weber refused to give state voter database to Feds.
Attorney General - Rob Bonta held states to the YIMY laws.
Insurance - Stacy Korsgaden wants “free market solutions for a healthy insurance marketplace.”
Controller - Herb Morgan wants radical transparency.
Equalization - John Zaruka, who wants to reduce taxes.
Superintendant - None.
Treasurer - Jennifer Hawks is against more debt spending.
State Assembly 17 - Starchild!
Earthquake bond - No.
Term Limits - No.
Measure C - Yes to increase gross receipts tax exemption.
Measure D - No.
SF Education Board - Phil Kim brought back algebra.
Superior Court - None.
