While I think this piece exaggerates the extent to which all this is some evil plan of the ruling class – crediting more people with more malevolence as well as more competence and greater international coordination abilities than they actually possess – not to mention getting some critical things wrong (e.g. implicitly siding with the police against the protesters, and promoting the lie that the establishment is for open borders when in fact what they want is control and that includes controlling our ability to move about freely!), it is nevertheless worth a read. It's a powerful indictment of the authoritarian response to the coronavirus and the falsehoods, deceptions, and shifting party line that has characterized it. Thanks for posting, Phil.
