How over a dozen Oakland cops met statutory definition of trafficking in passing 17-year-old girl around for sex

Its the duplicity of it all.

In California, there is a crime of "Unlawful sexual intercourse", which is
an act of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 18 who is not
the spouse of the person. (CA Penal Code § 261.5 (a))
<http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=PEN§ionNum=261.5.>

NOTE that the law is written does not specify that the perpetrator must be
an adult. Thus if a 14 year old boy has intercourse with a 17 year old
girl, then he is guilty of statutory rape.

The law is ridiculous. We know that the world-wide porn industry is based
in Los Angeles and common sense tells us that many of the girls are under
18 even though they may have fake ID.

In Thailand and the Philippines many girls aged 13 are working in whore
houses but the law says they must be 18. This is ignored.
