Santa Clara LP Chair Brian Darby called to let me know that
Archbishop Riordan High School is having a political fair on October
23 (basically just information booths for different political
parties). The school is in S.F. near City College, but apparently the
organizers had the Santa Clara County LP's contact info and called them.
The school address is 175 Phelan Avenue, and the event is happening
from 12:25 to 1:20 p.m., in the school gym where students will be
eating lunch. It's OK to get there at noon or earlier to set up. It
will be sponsored by the school's chapter of Junior State of America
(JSA), the political club that does the larger statewide conventions
we've regularly attended at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel, and they
will be announcing it to students via fliers and broadcasts on the
school's P.A. system in advance of the date.
They will provide a table and chairs and nearby electrical outlet if
needed, everything else is up to us. Is there someone who can give me
a ride down there and help staff the table?
