Gun Show at the Cow Palace September 13 & 14

Hi All! The LPSF is going to have a table at the gun show at the Cow Palace on the week-end of September 13 & 14. We tabled there last September and found the gun crowd to be receptive to our message of limited government. Many folks who took the Nolan Quiz scored very high in the Libertarian quadrant, and several of those who did well on the quiz left their contact information with us.

This time we will table alongside the GGLR (Golden Gate Liberty Revolution--formerly the Ron Paul Meetup group in San Francisco) and also the John Birch Society. I was originally queasy about working with the JBS folks since they had such a terrible reputation years ago, but tabling alongside them at the GGLR table this past year, I have gotten to know them and find them very close to our own ideology. (My opinion now after all that has happened with Agenda 21 and Plan Bay Area is that they were right all along.)

GGLR will have two tables and the JBS and LPSF will each have one table--featuring four tables in a row of pro freedom-leaning literature and materials. Our table will cost $110 for the week-end--please help to donate to the cost. Huge donations are not needed for this event--even small ones will help to cover the cost of this worthwhile outreach effort. Please contribute by mailing your check (payable to The Libertarian Party of San Francisco) to 2261 Market Street #170A, San Francisco, CA 94114, and please mark "Gun Show September 2014" on the check. Alternately you can click on "Donate with PayPal" on our website to contribute.

By the way, you might also consider visiting the gun show that week-end, even if you're not into gun culture. Some of the vendors sell interesting goods related to preparedness that are worthwhile to anyone living in earthquake country. The cost of entrance is $10, and the hours are 9 AM-5 PM on Saturday and 9 AM-4 PM on Sunday. Please stop by our tables to say hi if you do come to the Cow Palace.

Thanks!
Aubrey

Aubrey...will those working the tables still have to pay the $10 admission to the event?

Mike

Hi Mike! Typically we do not pay the $10. With the tables that we pay for, the Cow Palace gives out a small number of free wristbands to wear during the show. We always share them so that we can get folks into the event using the same wristband. Dan The Man usually has all the wristbands since he organizes the whole thing, and folks call him from their cellphone outside the entrance and he comes out to meet them and bring them a wristband. So, if you can help out on that week-end, you shouldn't have to pay anything.

As for parking, I refuse to pay for parking, so I park in the nearby neighborhood and schlepp my goods over. Compared to walking from your house to the Main Library, that's nothing! Let me know if you can join us anytime during the week-end.

Thanks!
Aubrey
