I agree completely with what you say. Governments have backed themselves into a corner, and inflation is nearly the only way out, from their point of view.
It's ironic, the seniors are likely the ones to be most hurt by inflation. So, they will be robbing themselves of their retirement savings in order to pay for their health care, but with the loss of efficiency and choice that comes with a government program. How stupid!
Of course, the burden will also fall on the younger generation, but to a lesser degree. And, the cost of inflation will not be fairly spread... those responsible ones that have saved the most will be the ones robbed of the most by inflation.
