Global warming theory under much debate (Washington Post)

I didn’t see this when it came out last year, but quite a notable headline on this Washington Post article (https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2022/12/23/climate-change-impact-cold-weather/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2022/12/23/climate-change-impact-cold-weather/):

“…the research inspired a flurry of follow-up studies that Swain expects will eventually clarify a link between climate change and cold-weather outbreaks.”

“We’re 10 years into this conversation and there’s still a lot of mixed feelings in the scientific community…”

It sounds like global warming theory didn’t predict more cold air coming down from the Arctic, and now the theory’s defenders are trying to come up with evidence to connect observed reality to their theory. Trying to disprove the theory would arguably be more in line with the scientific method, but…
