The following is a message from Aaron Smith at MPP. I'll unfortunately be
out of town this weekend, but I hope some of you can make it:
Dear East Bay ASA supporter-
Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) needs to hear from medical
marijuana patients and advocates!
Congressman McNerney unseated Richard Pombo (R-Stockton) in 2006 but sadly
has proven to be no better on medical cannabis issues than his
predecessor. Last year, McNerney turned his back on patients and voted
against the Hinchey-Rohrabacher Medical Marijuana Amendment, which
would have prohibited the DEA from using tax dollars to undermine
California's medical marijuana law and the seriously ill and injured
patients who rely on it.
This Saturday, March 15, the Congressman will be marching in the Dublin St.
Patrick's Day Parade and he has invited his constituents
(that means you) to march with him. This is a great an opportunity to
publicly show your support for medical cannabis patients in a way the
Congressman will not be able to ignore. Please attend this parade and march
along side the congressman with "Stop Arresting Patients for
Medical Marijuana" signs.
If you are able to march in the parade with Congressman McNerney beginning
at 9 a.m. on the 15th, please contact MPP's Aaron Smith at HYPERLINK

Don't miss this rare opportunity to call on the Congressman to support
medical marijuana patients in his district.
If you are unable to attend the parade but want to help, please call
Congressman McNerney's office and politely ask him to support bringing
an end to the DEA's cruel raids on medical marijuana patients and their
providers. His number in Washington, D.C. is (202) 225-1947.
After making your call, please let us know what kind of response you
receive.
Thank you for supporting California's medical cannabis patients.
