Starchild....this isn't personal. It is business. If you don't know by now that your sense of organization is highly personal and probably a little out of synch with the rest of the world, then it is about time someone told you. But I highly suspect that you have heard this before. It is high time you accepted that reality and took ownership of it. It is what makes you both charming and difficult. I love and accept you for who you are. You should know yourself well enough to do the same. It might help you understand and appreciate other's love and exasperation with you.

Smile

Mike

You have a tremendous amount of energy to explain yourself. And not so much energy to organize yourself. Again, don't fight it Starchild. This isn't personal. Its just real. Take ownership and be glad.

Mike

Sure Mike, I realize I'm more spontaneous and less punctual or tied to rigorous scheduling than most people. But I think it's unfair to use these traits as justification to blame me for today. I think you felt frustrated not hearing back from me sooner, and rather than living with that uncertainty for a little while – a useful ability to have in many situations! – or asking to reschedule if meeting in the evening didn't work for you after all, you decided to go ahead and start without me.

Which I'd have no problem with, if you were eager to get a head start on it and felt ready to plunge in. It's just the tone that's come across in your subsequent messages – the sense that you're trying to make this my fault and make me feel bad about it, like "Don't bother coming over, I can't rely on you so just going ahead without you," without being able to point to anything specific I did as unreasonable or warranting such a response – that bothers me. I told you I could come over this evening. Your apparent assumption that I'd be available to receive and reply to messages prior to that time, and exasperation at me over that assumption turning out to have been incorrect, seem to me unwarranted.

Love & Liberty,

((( starchild )))

I have a career of organizational success in teams of up to 30 people. And I'm happy to take ownership of that. You do not. That doesn't make me a better person than you or you less than me. But it simply is a fact. In this area, I have a credential. You do not. I'm not trying to make you feel bad. In fact, I can't make you feel bad. Only you can do that. You might consider an attitude adjustment.

Mike

Just heard from Richard Michael....the bottom line is that this is SUPER complicated with tons of work. I've decided to drop out. I'm not capable of doing what he expects.

Mike

Be glad for you blaming me for your unwarranted reaction to a situation and trying to make me feel bad about it? Sorry, but I'm not feeling that. Why can't you take ownership of your own unwarranted assumption and hurtful response?

The discussion was about organizational behavior and team communications. Not about other abilities. Feel free to take on the project.....you have his contact info. Prove me deficient to your talents. I would welcome that.

Mike

You not capable? With your "career of organizational success"? You think plain old "disorganized", uncredentialed me who needs an "attitude adjustment" is more capable of handling it?

I'm not trying to prove anything here, Mike. My last email was being sarcastic. I'm just asking you to acknowledge ("take ownership of," in your words) the fact that you treated me poorly today by taking your frustration out on me in a manner that was hurtful and undeserved.

((( starchild )))

You are a big boy and responsible for your own feelings.

Mike

And I'll be responsible for mine. I would never try to hurt you.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Do you have any updates on this you can share with us?

Thanks,
Nick

Right off the bat, the "promotion" in the ballot handbook says " The
seawall no longer adequately protects The City from tides, floods and
rising sea levels. The seawall is also not protected from earthquake
damage." It is clearly an exaggerated statement. There is no evidence
provided. The Seawall was effective in the 1989 earthquake. And the
measure is filled with much more hyperbole. I think we can easily
make the case that this bond was presented illegally. As the LPSF was
the official Objection, it seems we owe it to ourselves to follow
through on this. And it could provide us with some valuable press.>
I'm willing to get involved. Starchild offered to help but seems to

probably do it myself but would appreciate a "buddy".>
Richard Michael has offered to do the data entry in his site to
produce the necessary filing paperwork that I or someone else would
need to sign. We need to go over the bond and identify the offending
language.>
We also need to raise $250 filing fee and maybe some more down the
road. I'm willing to contribute $100 and do the work. Can the LPSF
and anyone else step up to this and help out?>
We gotta start moving on this pretty fast. Also, I'm on a break from
work for a few weeks and have some time for now.>
Please let me know your thoughts ASAP.

Hi Nick,

Richard just had 3 call in conferences to go over the project. I’m still stuck in my inability to fully navigate his website. I’ve recommended that he setup some more people more experienced with the project to assist us for pay. No action on that yet.

I’m excited by the possibilities….but feeling helpless when faced with the administrative details of the task.

Thanks for including Richard on the email.

Thanks Mike and Richard!

Please let me know what I can do to help. I am still willing to chip in
for the filing fee.
