Marcy,
Maybe I haven’t been reading my e-mails carefully enough, but I don’t know what RCV means. I don’t live in S.F. although I was born and lived thee through college. I taught school in S.F. and know quite a few retired teachers I could send this information to. Maybe people who live in S.F. know what RCV means, but I don’t. Thanks in advance for explaining it to me.
Marge
Hi Marge,
Thank you for asking. RCV is ranked choice voting, when voters rank their preferences instead of voting for one candidate only. The obvious benefit of RCV is saving taxpayers oodles of money by obviating run-off elections. Politicians do not like RCV, no matter how many times the people vote in its favor. Here is a short description of RCV from the CfER website.
