From Brian O'Flynn - Land theft proponents try to pull a fast one at PROSAC meeting

When I spoke with Brian on Wednesday, he told me that the eminent domain issue wouldn't be coming up at the PROSAC (Park & Rec. Open Space Acquisition Committee) meeting. Suspecting this might be a ruse to keep property rights advocates away, I repeatedly asked him if he could trust this news. Brian said he thought he could in this case, since it came from the chair of the committee. Unfortunately my suspicions turned out to be warranted, as described below. I'm just glad they didn't manage to ram the vote through. Devious bastards, aren't they?

I was suspicious myself. I saw the email that said we we no longer needed at that meeting, and I went anyways.
Half way through, with the room so empty, I asked Brian if I should stay and comment, and he thought it was no longer
important because the park people were not going to make their case. So I left. I can't believe they pushed through a
vote! I'm so glad that the motion was defeated. This is the kind of stuff that makes me want to heat up spme tar and
gather up some feathers.
