An event this Sunday November 1, happening right across the street from the entrance of City Hall at 1 Carlton B. Goodlett Place (Polk Street) from 2-4pm. Everyone from Trump supporters to Democratic Socialists are being invited to come and civilly talk with each other. There will be some icebreaker games, chance to talk and learn about each other’s views, etc. No formal speakers. Could be fun/interesting. I met a guy a few months ago who’s involved, and he let me know about it.
I spoke to the organizer Brian Barth by phone and made a pitch to avoid framing the dialogue/engagement like there are only two sides, told him about the Nolan Chart, made some observations on nationalism, etc. He seems interested in libertarian ideas and being inclusive.
