First day on the new job

I was thinking about what jobs I could do that were just listening and writing, Got motivated when I met a veteran 911 operator, who thought this blind guy should apply. this is my friend Mikes take on the idea.

Phil,

Your friend Mike has a fine sense of humor. I like the part about the union rep abusing the 911 system by calling it for non-emergency purposes.

Becoming an emergency operator sounds like not a bad idea though -- better you than someone who might be corrupted by the pay and benefits into supporting higher taxes and more government spending. And you never know when an opportunity to be a whistleblower might come your way.

Love & Liberty,
                               ((( starchild )))

P.S. - Some more dialogue...

CALLER: "No no, I didn't say send the cops! The guy who just robbed me at gunpoint was a cop! I said send the CRIPS!"

OPERATOR: "The bad news is that just because your house burns down doesn't mean you get to stop paying property taxes, but the good news is I see you're calling from the Ingleside neighborhood, so the rain we're expecting this evening will probably cause the aging sewers that the city government hasn't maintained to back up and flood your basement again, which might help you save some of the ground floor."

Releasing your inner Mogombo Phil?

Smile

Mike
