Experts Point To Long, Glorious History Of Successful U.S. Bombing Campaigns | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Wow. Amazing. It blows my mind (pun intended) that people state, write and read this sort of thing with a swelling of pride. Especially the Bible beaters. I read this and feel ill. Ugh.

"Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing."
--Thomas Paine, Rights of Man, 1791

Nina,

The good news is, the world isn't *quite* as bad as you think. It's the Onion. They publish satire. This part if nothing else should have been a giveaway...

...essentially the entire American military effort in
Vietnam from 1960 to 1975. Those were all executed perfectly, and led,
in the long run, to the most desirable possible outcome.

I think even the most ardent statist would blanche at making that claim about the Vietnam War, the first one where the U.S. government lost, or at least abandoned the field.

Love & Liberty,
                                  (((( starchild )))

Perhaps you are not aware that *The Onion* is an American news
satire<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_satire>organization.

In other words, it means the opposite of what it says.
