Draft agenda for Jan 10 meeting -- Other agenda items?

Dear Marcy;

Yes some police outreach wouldn't be a bad idea. Afterall we came up with the letter campaign for beat foot patrols before the Board of Supervisors hopped on our band wagon implemented the program in various hot spots and never gave us the proper credit.

Hmmmph!!!

Here's an idea to help the beat foot patrols get around better get Segway scooters for the beat patrols. Segway has police versions used by various PD's around the country for foot patrol.

My idea is to form a non-profit tax deductible corp and have wealthy people chip in to buy the Segways for the PD and get a tax deduction for the equipmenrt purchase and depreciation. The PD leases at a $1.00 a year or some such thing. It's doable but takes someone who can come up with the right type of non-profit tax deductible corporation thing with equipment lease depreciation pass through etc etc etc.

BTW: PGE has had transformer problems effecting various outage electrical grid zone blocks throughout the Sunset last couple days. Their electrical grid zones are strange beasts. I have had my power out while literally across the street their power was on and vice versa.

Dear Ron,

First, thank you for the info. on PG&E's challenges. I passed the
information on to my poor 90 year old Mom, who was getting completely
freaked out about the disappearance of lights in selected spots.

Secondly, policemen riding Segways is out. The idea sounds to me as
strange as that of baby blue police cars emblazoned with "Police
Services;" which cars lasted about one and a half minutes.

Anyway, I'm still partial to the LPSF, of all things, outreaching the
police. The irony in this idea is too good for any libertarian to pass up.

Marcy

Dear Ron,

Huuuummmm...not a bad idea to do some police outreach by using their
meeting room. I especially like the idea of being able to order the
pizza, which one cannot do at the library.

Marcy
PS I better go have dinner before the lights go out again. Anyone
else having this problem, or is it bad Karma at our house?

all go by.. Also within a block is the Taco Bell KFC a couple pizza
parlors and two ristorantes. Not to mention the Clement Street
restaurants a block and a half away. Or we could phone order in if
wanted and get delivery to the station and delivery orders can include
free soda with left overs for the station guys and gals. Hey they
might fix a ticket in exchange for the free pizza.
