My Internet connection has been down for several days, much to my displeasure. So I'm writing this at the library. Probably too late for many of you to get it, unfortunately, but c'est la vie. Anyway, I have a court appearance in Fremont tomorrow for anyone who is interested or would like to go.
This is the first since September; don't know why they delayed it so long, but one can only hope it's because their calendar is full. Maybe that will help someone will come to their senses and realize this case is a total waste of time and resources.
Of course it's always a mystery exactly what will happen at these appearances, but we're going to find out if the judge allows our pitchess motion (trying to get background info on the cops involved in the arrest). The other side filed a motion to block that request -- as I'm sure everyone here knows, they have lots of rules about what is relevant and can be allowed in as evidence and what cannot, mostly to the detriment of justice imho.
As usual, it's at 9:00 a.m. at the Fremont courthouse. I forgot to bring the address with me, but you can call me for details if you get this -- (415) 621-7932 or if you don't reach me there, (415) 368-8657. Also as usual, I'll be getting a ride over from my lawyer. She has room for a couple more in her car; if you want to come with us, let me know. We'll meet outside her office (345 Franklin) at 730am.
Love & liberty,
