The latest installment of my perpetual court saga takes place tomorrow morning, usual time and place (9 a.m., Fremont municipal court, 39439 Paseo Padre Parkway, Fremont, Department 602 on the 2nd floor). I'll be getting a ride over there from SF with my attorney as usual, and she has room for a couple more if anyone else would like a ride. We'll be meeting outside her office (345 Franklin Street between Hayes & Grove) at 730 a.m. If interested, please give me a call at (415) 621-7932.
Once again this will in all likelihood be uneventful, so only the insatiably curious or particularly bored need feel any call to rouse themselves from bed at this hour of the morning. The prosecutor turned down most of our request for discovery, so we need to file a motion to compel discovery. Because notice needs to be given in court of this motion, the motion itself will not be heard tomorrow, but rather we will once again be assigned another court date sometime down the road. Of course nothing about this process is entirely straightforward or predictable, so something else could happen (in the best case scenario the prosecution would just get tired of the whole thing and drop the charge), but nothing more is expected.
Love & liberty,
