Stewart Flood tells me (see correspondence below) that he has been
supporting a San Francisco convention. Stewart generally tends to side
with the more conservative/top-down/Starr/Root faction of the LP and
took the lead in trying to get Angela Keaton removed from the
Libertarian National Committee, so I do wonder what his reasons are
for supporting a convention in San Francisco, but I'm glad that he is
doing so, for whatever reason. Maybe I'm being too cynical in assuming
his reason(s) are political.
Anyway, I'm trying to encourage him to support the downtown hotel
option. I'd like to again urge everyone to write to members of the LNC
and express your support for holding the 2012 convention in San
Francisco itself rather than out in the cultural wasteland by the
