This very insightful editorial from the Contra Costa Times comes just short of endorsing AB390 and the TaxCannabis2010 initiative, and gives great exposure to Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) and Judge James Gray. I especially like his closing paragraph:
"Legalization represents a major reversal in policy, but that doesn't make it bad. When you find out you've been going in the wrong direction, the smart thing is to turn around."

Former Oakland Police Officer James Anthony, now a practicing attorney, is on the LEAP speakers' bureau. Perhaps we can organize a speaking engagement to help promote the Libertarian legalization position on this important issue.
