Bond and tax measures in November 2018 were illegal! Voters are needed in each district to be plaintiffs and contest the election. Under the new law, AB-195, questions on the ballot had to be impartial. PR companies just ignored the new law and wrote biased questions as usual. No wonder so many spending measures passed!
California School Bonds Clearinghouse is launching a campaign of lawsuits against the offending districts. They have volunteer professionals, lawyers, paralegals, researchers, etc. But they need a plaintiff in the district to contest a measure. They have many offending districts to choose from. So if no plaintiff files in your district, you will be stuck paying the tax even if it is wrong!
If you might want to be a plaintiff, please act now! Contact Richard Michael now. Your suit must be filed within 30 days of the certification, certainly by Jan 5.
