Dear David;

  The incident started when she went around a US Congress building security barrier - without wearing a Congressional ID badge and then not stopping after being asked three times to do so.....

  She is unfortunately well known around the halls of congress for being ready to call it rascism if anything happens to her. In this case, she really stepped in it and has managed to surround herself with some at the ready sycophants to join the rascism chorus.

  In other words, ignore it, and it should go away when she gets arrested for striking an officer while in the performance of his duties.....

Hi David,

  On the Apple issue you asked about in a previous email, I think the Libertarian position would be that whatever contract exists should be enforced. This would probably mean ruling in favor of Apple Records, from what I've heard, but presumably the two sides could reach some kind of arrangement, as I imagine it's more in the record company's interests to receive a hefty check from the computer company than to block iTunes. An alternative might be for Apple Computers to spin off iTunes as a separate company.

  On Rep. McKinney's scuffle with the capitol guard, I don't think there is a clear Libertarian angle. It's satisfying to watch two power-ego trips smack up against each other in such a public manner. I say a pox on both their houses.

Yours in liberty,
