While Starchild is right and you are right - there already is a split in the party with splinter party groups forming new Libertarian oriented parties such as the: http://bostontea.us/ Chris Maden mentioned. They formed the group and had as a first an on-line convention to elect officers and create a platform.
Yes we need to work to re-take the party and have a more of a grass roots up organization which adheres to the basic Libertarian principles and offers a genuine alternative instead of a watered down platform designed to be "attractive".
