It was a conspiracy as both of them were giving the prime candidates for their respective parties fits. Candidates were found who could challenge with backing from monied interests so Ron and Dennis could not have the time to show up their party real candidates.
The contenduhs DID NOT have to start at the beginning of the campaign season at all the last minute entry was delibrate. Just like last minute hit pieces delivered by mail the weekeend before the election. The contenduhs were only found after Ron and Dennis caused the party big wigs to look embarassed.
