Chicago Police Dept. loses ruling on Stingray surveillance

A judge ordered the CPD to let her review documents about the surveillance devices and decide which ones must be disclosed to activist who sued the police:

  The article notes that California (as of 2015) is one of a handful of states in which a warrant is required for police to use a Stingray device, and that police elsewhere often sneak their use past judges.
