Charles Fried from the Harvard Law School has a new book out, _Modern
Liberty_. He will be talking on the subject tomorrow evening at the
Commonwealth Club of California, at 6 pm. Details and reservations at

reception cost $18 for non-members.
His publisher sent us a copy of the book; he's not a libertarian, but he
has some interesting points to make. If anyone wants to read the book,
