If we follow that line of thinking we would need to be going after government-supported education which enables all the cronies involves in this case. At which point, all our relevance in this controversy would be voided. I would prefer that LPSF continued to focus on one set of cronies at the time.
Right now, we are focused on the decades-old cronies at City College, which have caused taxpayer hard-earned cash to go down a giant rabbit hole of mismanagement. LPSF spoke out publicly against Prop A last November, warning that City College needed restructuring before more money were wasted on it. See article on www.lpsf.org. So, I would suggest that LPSF stay focused on that aspect of this particular case, and not, as often is its habit, go off in all directions.
That makes sense. Especially when the commission is dealing blows to the same target, it would stupid, crazy, crazy-stupid, crazy stupid, piss-poor, self-destructive, senseless, ignorant, myopic, wasteful, ineffective strategy to go after the commission.
We can stab the commission in the back later, after it has helped us pummel the primary target. No doubt the primary target is the board. What's the strategy?
If your question means what is the Commission's strategy, I would say more than removing the Trustees from active management, which they have already done. The other goals concern restructuring of the inefficient "shared governance system" (which translates into nobody is responsible for anything system), and placing some financial controls.
If you mean what is the "official" LPSF strategy on this particular issue, it is continuing to harp on the need for taxpayers to do their homework before throwing money at problems. We spelled it all out in our ballot arguments on Prop A, and on our website articles.
BTW, I would just go with "ineffective" strategy going after the Commission at this time.
"Ineffective" doesn't quite cover it, when it is repeated for decades.
Besides, if I'm the comedy central libertarian I get to exaggerate for theatrical effect.
I was inquiring about strategies more along the lines of claiming glory for the defeat of the deposed evil despots, and securing power in the new regime.
Crazy is right. I kept hoping that the Napolitano announcement was from the Onion, but no such luck. Have you heard anything about whom Eric Holder may be replacing?

Huuummm...that type of strategy is more your bailiwick. I personally prefer results over glory or power.

Nope. Mr. Holder is still happy where he is. Regarding the typewriters, when I heard that news, I thought, finally, a simple and elegant solution to a problem.
