Candidates for state office should be familiar with this

  I've seen that figure elsewhere. I believe the state spends around
$9000 per pupil, whereas most non-government schools spend a few
thousand less and voucher proposals have often been around $4K or $5K,
but don't quote me.

I wonder if the people who
complain that we don't spend enough money on education are aware of
these figures.

Thanks for posting these figures. I'd be to know the number of kids in
public schools so we can calculate the spending per individual.
