candidate shortage in San Mateo County

I regret to report that we have no members eager to run for legislative
office from San Mateo County, but 1 officer reluctant--but willing--to run
in CD12.

So it looks pretty bad to me, unless other counties can supply candidates:

CD12: Harland Harrison (overlap with SF) Harland willing to step aside

Chris,

Thanks for posting this list. We are also drumming up volunteers here in
SF. I'd encourage Harland to continue running in the 12th, because running
a full slate is very important. If Maad is able to defeat Lantos in the
primary (which would surprise me, but which would be wonderful), Harland
could endorse him.

I don't know who will be running for State Assembly in the 12th yet, but
I'm sure we'll find someone.

As a reminder, the list of offices up for election in '04 is at <RL:
Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos > (though I
accidentally called the 12th CD the 8th).
