California nearly decriminalizes psychedelics – but governor hits brakes

Yes, disappointing. I was also disappointed to find out that a new statewide initiative on psilocybin mushrooms that has just started collecting signatures is not a decriminalization measure at all, but instead would authorize a $5 billion state bond measure to pay for a new state agency to fund psychedelic therapy research.

I had expected I would be circulating it and getting signatures, but after looking at it, I don’t think it’s something Libertarians should support.

How are you, Richard? I saw a cryptic message from you about quitting the party, but trying to reach you for follow-up via email and phone/text has been fruitless. Please call me when you get a chance.

Very disappointing, but glad to see SF has decriminalized plant based psychedelics.
