Please excuse the BSP*... Just wanted to remind everyone of the benefit happening tonight for the medical marijuana defense group Americans for Safe Access at the Edge bar, corner of 18th and Collingwood streets in the Castro (2 blocks from MUNI Castro station).
Event runs from 8 to 11pm, with an $8 beer bust (all you can drink beer), and Full Moon contest around 9pm, with hot boys including yours truly. I've also donated a 1-hour escort/massage session to be raffled off (raffle starts before the contest and concludes afterward; other prizes include wine, a yoga session, Mardi Gras stuff, etc.). So if you don't mind hanging out at a gay bar (yes, girls are welcome too), come support a good cause and help bid up my perceived market value (if you should happen to submit the winning bid and feel shy, I make a lovely gift!) 8)
The benefit is organized by Gary Virginia, one of my former rivals in the District 8 Board of Supervisors race three years ago and a very nice guy. Noted drag performer Donna Sachet will be the MC. There will be an ASA literature table, and I'll probably bring some libertarian fliers to hand out too. More details in press release below... hope to see you there!
Peace, love & liberty,

P.S. - Print out this email and bring it with you, and if I win the $100 cash prize, you can redeem it with me in person for a free drink!

RE: Benefit for Americans for Safe Access and Krewe de Kinque
FULL MOON CONTEST TO BENEFIT AMERICANS FOR SAFE ACCESS
San Francisco - San Francisco's Mardi Gras organization, Krewe de Kinque, will be raising funds for their club and Americans for Safe Access at The Edge bar on Thursday, July 21, 8-11pm.
The Full Moon Contest is held every other month at this Castro hot spot at 18th and Collingwood streets where patrons can show off their "assets" and answer zany questions from the celebrity judges in hopes of walking off the stage with the $100 cash prize. There is no cover charge and contestants may enter the contest that evening.
An $8 beer and soda benefit will be available from 8-11pm along with a raffle drawing. The proceeds will be split evenly between the two organizations. To offer a donation or raffle prize for the benefit, contact Gary Virginia at (415) 626-5004.
