Ballot Measures - Update

Hi All. I just checked the Department of Elections website. A few changes:
1. Surplus Public Lands Ordinance--this one has been withdrawn, so I'm glad I didn't start my argument against this one.2. Enhanced Paid Parental Leave for City Employees--submitted by the Board of Supervisors--would allow an employee on leave for birth or adoption to save 40 hours of sick leave for later use and still be paid the regular 12 weeks of parental leave--normal companies make you use all of your paid benefits when you're out on leave and there's no saving goodies for later. City employees already enjoy better benefits than their private industry counterparts, so why should the taxpayers give them more goodies? Recommend a NO vote on this one. Anyone want to write an argument?3. Affordable Housing Bond for $310 million presented by the Mayor--we were expecting this one--what took so long? Anyone want to write an argument against this one?
The Ballot Simplification meetings will be next week. The Mayor and Board of Supervisors have one more week to produce some more statist ballot measures. I doubt they will disappoint!
Thanks!Aubrey
